You need to keep up with the assignments. If you used your index you would see that most of the answers are in the first part of chapter 5. The molecules that have the biggest pictures are ones we refer to over and over again and you need to memorize them. Biological molecules are made of the same simple components called monomers. These are molecules like: glucose, fatty acids, nucleotides and amino acids. They are interchangable from one organism to the next. When you digest the large molecules, the monomers can be rearranged by your body into molecules that you need to grow. That is why you can eat plants and still make all animal molecules from plant molecules.
Here is some help with specific questions if you are having trouble.
# 3, 4 and 8 are disacchairdes
#11 fat is a molecule with two parts
#14 is a play on words, 14 and 15 are both steroid hormones in chapter 5
16 has to do with the types of bonds fatty acids have
19 Think whales and blubber
new assignment tomorrow. Get your quiz done soon.
Hopefully you are enjoying your summer as much as I am. I was up all night fishing and caught 7 stripers from 30" - 40" long about 20 lbs. I also got a shark and a skate, (cartalaginous fish), and a bluefish 33" long. I will post a picture of the striper if I get it from my friend.
Good luck.
