Go to the store and get 3x5 index cards, you will make a lot of them this year to study, keep them organized in some kind of box. Also go to the bookstore and pick up an AP Biology review book. Most students preferred the 5 steps to a 5 for AP Biology. I got mine on Amazon.com for a few bucks used. Like many students, they get it with a few weeks before the exam and never get past the first chapter and sell them online. My students get review books early and complete it,then pass the exam. Use your text to learn about atom structure, ions and isotopes. Use 3x5 index cards to make flash cards of the following vocab with the vocab word on one side and a definition and an example on the other. list: atom, ion, isotope, electron, neutron, proton, atomic mass, atomic number, cation, anion, carbon 14. The Student resources has a youtube video tutorial, and a quiz. It is typical of a quiz you will get when you are in my class. Take it over and over until you get a 100%. Also learn the names and symbols for the first 20 atoms on the periodic table. If you follow all my suggetions and don't cheat or take shortcuts you will not only pass the AP test, but will be well on your way to a new career in Science and making a difference in the world.
