I know there is a lot of material, but you have to keep up with learning the material. The last quiz on functional groups showed many were not ready for the quiz. Thises that felt they could do better can take a retake of the quiz before school at 7:20 am on Wednesday. There will be a quiz soon on the molecules important in living things. The ones on the image sheets will be covered. You do not need to know how to draw them, but you need to know how to recognize them. You must know the four major categories of macromolecules and what monomers they are made of. You do not need to know the 20 different amino acids, but you do need to be familiar with the fact they are abbreviated to 3 letter names like phe and ser.
You must know the names of the 5 nucleotides and be able to spell them exactly or you will confuse them with amino acid names. Know the four levels of proteins. Everyone is doing a great job, so keep up the good work.
