practice AP test info and WEEKEND hw

One of the databases that Uxbridge residents can access, the LearningExpress Library, has some AP Biology test prep materials. The site is http://www.learningexpresshub.com/learningexpresslibrary/, and you do need to register with an Uxbridge Free Public Library card (which students should either already have or can sign up for for free). Once students log in, they can go to the All Centers drop down menu and choose College Preparation Center, then click the Prepare for Your AP Exam button for the list of available practice tests. The genetics problems and the lab on genetics are due on Monday. Use the fictional data to figure out the parental genotypes. Check your hypotheses with a chi square test. There will be a quiz on Monday on chi square. If you have trouble there are many sites online to help explain how to do it. If you are putting the lab in your notebook, then remember- data are the numbers you get for each phenotype and analysis is the chi square analysis and the confirmed parental cross. Keep up with the labs in your notebook. At the end of the term I will give you a grade based on the percentage of them finished and relative completeness of all the parts. It is mostly for proving to your admissions officer that you are in a school that values lab work and that you can write scientifically. Great proof to get into a great school when you bring it to your interview. They will be impressed at what you have accomplished!!
