sept 7 hw

STUDY!
Next Wednesday there is a test on ecology, and the summer work. I will go over molecules and some of the chemistry. You need to know the 4 categories of biomolecules and their monomers, Which atoms are specific to them, how they are involved in the nutrient cycles...etc.
4 issues that may be on the test are: Ozone depletion, global warming, acid rain, nutrient pollution/ eutrophication.

The AP test relies heavily on interpreting Data tables and graphs!
There are a few graphs in the ecology chapters of the text that appear on the test and you need to know how to read them.
For example on pg 1192...In Italy How many people are 14 yrs or younger? Don't forget to add males and females. There are three age brackets about the same for male and female, Each are about 2% So it is about 12%
Because age structures help us plan the future they might ask what to do for a population such as Afghanistan and how to keep that booming population from growing so fast.

I am omitting the biome questions.

There will be an essay on one of the cycles.

There will be a study session on Tuesday after school, you are welcome to stay as long as you like.
I will try to find something on molecules for you to look at, but you need to know the questions I gave on the quizzes.
